Pricing Philosophy-​My paintings are priced based on time and effort required to make them. Sometimes a big splashy abstract takes less time then a small, detailed landscape. Some take a few hours, some take weeks, even months to create. I had an interesting conversation with a gallerist about "value" versus "worth". In putting a price on my paintings, I've tried to avoid how much I value the painting versus what I think it is worth. I've kept a few paintings over the years because I value them so much, I could not sell them for any price. That is not based on the merit of the painting, if it's "good" or not, but rather the connection I have to it. Finally, I paint because it gives me peace and joy, but what am I supposed to do with them all? I hope some of them find a new home!
