Welcome to my website and my art. I have been painting for less than 15 years but have lived much, much longer than that! These paintings are stored up images from experiences and impressions over a lifetime that I now commit to canvas. Painting the beautiful, moving, inspiring places I've seen fills me with joy and gratitude. My work represents the best moments of my life. I hope the paintings reflect some of your best moments too.

Recent Paintings.....even if I use dark tones, my paintings are light in essence. The light is always coming through from some source.
In the last few months, I have used modelling paste as a base and as a result a new theme has emerged that is more angular and architectural. This has morphed into paintings that contain "structures". It has given me the opportunity to paint villages and cities and archeological sites I've explored. Whenever I travel I seek out the most ancient structures I can find.
Some of these paintings will be in the Bancroft and Area Fall Studio Tour See more information in the menu.
- This is one of my dark paintings but filled with light. That kind of sky is a joy to paint. Entitled The River Over Time.
- Great civilizations have been built on rivers. Rivers were life, providing food, transportation nourishment for animals and crops. They were trading routes allowing one culture access to others. They were the "cradles of civilization" and people have lived in those places since the dawn of humanity. The Nile, the Tigris, the Euphrates and the Yellow rivers saw the rise of our earliest and greatest civilizations. Yet, they were and we are infinitesimal under the infinite sky. I find that strangely comforting.
